A welcome message from Debbie Jackson, Executive Director Regeneration, Economy and Planning
Westminster is a unique place at the heart of London; home to over 270,000 residents, over 53,000 businesses and a million visitors a day, home of government and the seat of the royal family, but like any major City, it faces many challenges. From reducing inequality, through closing the life expectancy gap and tackling discrimination, to addressing the climate emergency, by working to become a net zero council by 2030 and a net zero City by 2040, and in supporting our diverse communities, by putting residents at the heart of our decision making, to foster a safe and welcoming City, which helps communities to thrive. Our vision is to create a Fairer Westminster.
The North Paddington Programme is at the heart of our commitment to creating a Fairer Westminster. I am looking for a committed and compassionate leader who is dedicated to achieving equality, diversity and inclusion and who can work with Services across the Council, with a wide range of external delivery and community partners, and with our residents, to deliver meaningful, sustainable change across the most deprived areas of our City. Someone with experience, but innovative and forward thinking; who wants to go the extra mile to make a real difference in the lives of our residents and in the communities that we serve.
If you are interested and think you have the right skills to be a bold and ambitious leader in Westminster, I would love to hear from you…

Debbie Jackson
Executive Director Regeneration, Economy and Planning.
Senior Responsible Owner, North Paddington Programme

A Fairer Westminster
A Fairer Westminster is one in which our residents are at the heart of our decision-making and help to determine the city’s future. By working with you, we can build a more inclusive city that celebrates our diverse communities, and where residents, workers and visitors from all backgrounds will feel welcome and safe.
